HOARFROST
Hoarfrost
Sunlight dancing through twinkle-down
petals of snowflake blossoms
Starry hawthorn eyes flutter black stamen eyelashes
Clouds scuttle through a cloth of mid-blue, swathing, swift in their density
Ochre-yellow broom pierces hedgerows, thorny elbows stating its right
Pearl-laden verges, verdant in dew-drenched heaviness.
Morning has come. Morning has come
Brambles tussle, thrusting new shoots through hedgerows, bright crinkly leaves unfolding to the sun
Raucous gulls wheel, duck and dive, catching thermals, carried on heaven-ward bliss to the sun
Yellow cap Forsythias hang, pealing out joy that Spring has come .
Hedgerows live! Sprung in all their wild rampage of life... Natures order.
All is right...
All is right.
