Frome Valley Walk (1)

The woodpecker vibrates in the soft doughy-warm morning air 
Dew laden grass, paled by its weight, welcomes loving hands 
Itʼs coolness bathing, awakening, blessing

Sunlight is... Bright. Warm,

Piercing in places, warming the throats of songbirds as they sit and proclaim 
“Easter is here. Spring is here. Be glad!”

Trees reach grateful arms to the sun 
Thankful roots to the dew moistened soil 
Life is...

Bright in their resplendent greens
Waving post winter foliage to the world. 
Joying

The River Frome tinkles over stones, rocks and mud banks 
Announcing itself in childish glee
“Here I am! Here I am!
